According to provincial planning for 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 (briefly called provincial planning), by 2030, Binh Dương aims at becoming a centrally run city. To achieve this goal, Binh Duong has focused on completing the local traffic infrastructure system, becoming a regional connectivity hub.

Cooperation for development

To enhance its role and position, Binh Duong will collaborate with other Southeastern localities to develop a regional traffic network. This includes developing inter-regional railways, highways and waterways; expanding logistics services, e-commerce and ecological spaces along the Saigon river, Dong Nai river and Dau Tieng reservoir, creating high-quality ecological service zones for the entire region. Binh Duong also aims at strengthening its role as a logistics hub in the northern region of Ho Chi Minh city, facilitating connections with the Central Highlands, the Cai Mep-Thi Vai international seaport and neighboring countries Laos and Cambodia.
