Tuesday, 25/03/2025

Brand building is increasingly prioritized by the business community in order to capture global trends and achieve sustainable development goals.

Enhancing internal strength

In recent years, enterprises in Binh Duong have strived to build green brands in response to the increasingly complex climate change situation around the world. Additionally, in export markets, many countries have set requirements for imported goods in terms of quality and design, green criteria and low greenhouse gas emissions. In reality, businesses that promptly change their production processes and technologies to create green products are more likely to attract buyers. International partners also tend to prioritize orders from green manufacturing facilities.

Production activities at Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint Stock Company

At Duc Thanh Wood Processing Joint Stock Company in Tan Uyen city, the application of green trade practices has helped enhance the company’s image, build customer trust, increase sales and expand market reach. Notably, green production processes go hand in hand with resource optimization, waste reduction, cost savings and increased production efficiency. Le Hai Lieu, CEO of the company shared: “Over the past 30 years, the company has proudly become a leading brand in Vietnam for kitchenware, household items and children's toys, exporting to over 50 countries and having 1,344 sales points nationwide. In addition to investing in machinery systems that offer high productivity, low energy consumption and no environmental pollution, the company has prioritized the use of environmentally friendly materials in its production and business activities. The use of solar power for production marks a new step in the company’s green transition journey, committing to carbon-free operations and sustainable growth. We have also made an early decision to install and use solar power to ensure green factors in our operations.

Ly Ngoc Minh, General Director of Minh Long I Co., Ltd. in Thuan An city believes that building a product brand must combine superior product quality with continuous innovation. Minh Long’s porcelain products—from dinner sets and tea sets to gift items like mascot figurines—not only meet high quality standards, but also embody the cultural values of Vietnam. The company places special emphasis on developing green product lines such as health-friendly porcelain, which align with sustainable consumption trends and consumer health protection.

With a long-term vision, Minh Long has continued improving its technology, expand into international markets and develop sustainable products while preserving Vietnamese cultural identities. Business owners must recognize that their brand is not only a symbol of the company, but also a representative of national cultural and spiritual values globally, thus enhancing their sense of responsibility and internal strength for development.

Promoting supply chain development

The business community clearly recognizes that building a green brand for their products is essential to gaining access to the global supply chain. According to Luu Tri, General Director of Nghe Nang Co., Ltd. in Di An city, establishing a green brand early provides enterprises with greater opportunities to join the global supply chain and increases competitiveness compared to similar products from other countries.

“Our partners are highly concerned about green development and environmental protection in the face of climate change, so this cannot be overlooked in the company’s sustainable development strategy. Therefore, in order to participate in the global supply chain, we are compelled to race toward transformation, applying modern technology in production to meet green criteria as soon as possible. This is also the reason Nghe Nang has become a partner to foreign corporations investing in Vietnam”, said Mr. Luu Tri.

A representative of the Binh Duong Textile and Garment Association shared that textile and garment exporters are currently making efforts to source domestic materials to ensure stable production, reduce costs and shipping time and meet the localization rate requirements of products…

Nguyen Thuy Hang, Director of the Center for Trade Promotion and Industrial Development under provincial Department of Industry and Trade stated that the center has been actively supporting businesses through industrial promotion programs, helping production facilities apply modern machinery and technology, thereby supporting enterprises, especially small and medium-sized ones in their digital transformation process and brand building. The industry and trade sector has also assisted businesses in applying the 5S methodology to create a friendly, clean and safe working environment.

One of the key tasks and breakthroughs in development to be done by Binh Duong in the local Planning for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050 is green development. According to the planning, Binh Duong will focus on greening the economy through green production, green consumption, green transportation, green infrastructure and green urban development…guided by science and technology, thereby fostering an economy that harmoniously develops with both nature and society.
