Regarding key tasks from now until the end of the year and beyond, Mr. Loi urged the city to review the 2024 targets and ensure that they are met or exceeded. The city should not become complacent or satisfied with the results achieved, but must strive even harder to successfully accomplish the goals and tasks for 2024 as well as for the entire 2020-2025 tenure.
Sharing with the city’s obstacles, Mr. Loi called for closer coordination between the province and city’s relevant sectors, particularly in mobilizing resources from land funds and planning of the province and city to secure investment for development. In the short term, the allocation of funds should be prioritized so that the city can focus on implementing and disbursing public investment capital for 2024. He also pointed out that the total value of completed work and disbursed funds, amounting to VND 197.241 billion out of VND 677.179 billion, achieving 29.16% of the plan, is still low, so the city must strive harder.
Mr. Loi also urged the city to continue promoting the spirit of dynamism, creativity and self-reliance, transforming mechanisms into resources for the city’s development. The city should also complete its planning, thereby generating resources to build the city. Especially, the city should focus on socializing investment in education, healthcare and urban rejuvenation. He expressed his hope that the city would continue its efforts to build up a more civilized, modern, beautiful, greener and cleaner Thu Dau Mot, deserving its role as the central city of Binh Duong province.
