Businesses join hands to pay debt of gratitude
The whole country has paid tribute to those who laid down their lives for national independence and freedom when July approaches. Along with the Party and State’s policies, the business community’s activities of paying debt of gratitude over the past time were very practical and meaningful, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors.
With the slogan of “Beneficial to the country and people”, Binh Duong Lottery One-Member Co.Ltd. has expressed deep gratitude to policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors by practical deeds. Mai Thanh Binh, from the company’s Department of Administration and Personnel said that taking care of heroic Vietnamese mothers is a deed with deep human significance, expressing the moral principle of “When drinking water, remember its source”. Paying gratitude to those who contributed to the revolutionary cause is the responsibility of all Vietnamese people.

The company now takes care of 3 heroic Vietnamese mothers, namely Tong Thi Luu, Nguyen Thi Hoi in Di An town, Nguyen Thi Ruc in TDM city while maintaining a policy beneficiary family in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune. On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the company also visited and presented gifts to 50 policy beneficiary families and revolutionary contributors in TDM city with a total expense of VND16million.
Meanwhile, Kumho Vietnam Co.Ltd. does a social charity program every month. In July alone, the company focuses on activities of paying debt of gratitude. To mark the 69th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, the company in collaboration with Ben Cat town’s Red Cross Society gave 10 gifts worth VND600,000 each for needy policy beneficiary families. The company also funded construction of 3 gratitude houses in Dau Tieng district’s Thanh Tuyen commune; donated 3 saving books of VND30million to policy beneficiary families.
July reminds generations today to be responsible for activities of paying debt of gratitude in particular and upholding the good traditional value of Vietnamese people in general. This is also the month young generations need to look back on themselves to deservedly live with those who sacrificed their lives for national peace today.
Phung Cong Chung, a worker of Kumho Vietnam Co.Ltd. said: “Through fact-finding trips, we know more about the undauntedness of our people and army in the resistance war against foreign invaders. As a young worker, I was moved when offering incense at the local Martyrs’ Cemetery. This was also a chance for us to express the role of youth in inheriting and upholding the good traditions of ancestors, contributing to building up a more prosperous, beautiful and civilized Binh Duong”.
The attention of the business community to revolutionary contributors has contributed to raising the responsibility of sectors, authorities at all levels and people from all strata in the “paying debt of gratitude” task; simultaneously inspiring and nurturing patriotism and national pride among young generations and strengthening the national great unity bloc. Hence, further paying debt of gratitude to revolutionary contributors is a practical deed with profound human significance.
