By 2030, Binh Duong spends 30-40% budget on medical stations

To increase investment in healthcare system, especially at grassroots level, master plan for medical sector development in Binh Duong province until 2030 will spend at least 30% of the allocated funding for preventive medicine and about 30-40% budget for commune-level medical stations. In particular, the medical sector will allocate funds (to units that are fully or partially autonomous) to purchase medical equipment, train human resources to promptly deploy more activities meeting people needs.

In addition, administrative branches also implement regulations on state budget expenditure level for district-level preventive medicine to ensure adequate wages and regimes for grassroots medical workers, allowances for medical workers at hamlets and quarters; formulate and promulgate a level of recurrent expenditure in addition to wages to guarantee funds for regular and primary health care activities of commune medical stations.

At present, commune, ward, and township medical stations are funded by the budget to pay salaries and allowances for medical staff. The operating budget allocated to each station is 55 million VND/year.
