Camping festival upholding the islands and sea

In two days of January 4-5, Department of Education and Training held a camping festival of “heading to East Sea of Vietnam” with participation of 790 campers from high schools and 100 students from professional junior colleges and universities. Deputy Chair of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mrs. Tran Thi Son receives the donation to build schools in Spratly Islands The participating students made their own camps entitled with names of islands. For them, the names were only in history books and the occasion was to remind them of the patriotism.Vietnam is a land of long coastal lines and holds strategically important role in South East Asia and the world. Thus, the protection of the nation, the islands and sea hold the most meaningful deed to the students who should learn and train themselves.“Understanding of the islands and sea, we are more proud of of our nation. In the faraway islands, the heroic soldiers protect us. Staying here, we should learn at our best efforts to be worthy of piety children,” said Nguyen The Vuong, a student to Le Thi Trung junior high school in Tan Uyen District.The activities at the camping event hold their own deep meaning to implant the knowledge and stir up patriotism. The students were shown with videos about the islands, the sea, and the sacrifices of the soldiers defending border lines.So as to deep root the knowledge, the organizer also offers participants with questions about islands and sea of Vietnam.Expressing the love for the islands, they also donated to “contribution of stones to construct schools in Spratly Islands”.
