Upholding glorious tradition

Previously, the Vietnam Trade Union was Ba Son Union and its predecessor was the Northern Red Union, which was established on July 28, 1929. The birth of the Northern Red Union had great significance, marking the development of the workers' movement and the Vietnamese working class. During the revolutionary period, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam Trade Union had many different names to suit the tasks of each historical period. Although bearing different names, the Vietnam Trade Union is always associated with the glorious historical journeys of the nation, associated with the leadership of the Party and the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader of the Vietnamese people.

Upholding the glorious historical tradition, over the past 94 years, Binh Duong province’s Trade Union has been consolidated and built constantly. The number of Trade Union cadres and members has grown in both quantity and quality. Provincial Trade unions at all levels have excelled at performing the task of representing, taking care of and protecting trade unionists and laborers’ legitimate and legitimate rights. The Trade Union and labor force in the province have determined to accelerate industrialization and modernization, gradually bringing knowledge economy into social life, contributing to rapid integration with the region and the world.

Role affirmation

In the period of 2018-2023, Binh Duong province’s Trade Union has made an important change, especially in the work of representing, caring for and protecting trade unionists and laborers’ legitimate rights and interests, with the scale of organization expanded. Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have been proactive and flexible in directing and organizing a variety of activities. Many new models, effective and pervasive ways have been recognized by trade unionists, employees, further affirming the important role of the Trade Union in representing, protecting and taking care of trade unionists and employees ‘legitimate rights and interests, making worthy contributions to the cause of development and innovation of the homeland and country.

Provincial Trade unions at all levels have concretized their main views, goals, tasks and solutions in order to implement the Action Program No. 58-CTr/TU to realize the Politburo’s Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW, dated June 12, 2021 on "Improving the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

Provincial Labor Union and Trade Unions at all levels have focused on implementing 6 groups of key tasks and solutions, including bending on spending resources to care and support for trade unionists and employees, especially those with difficult circumstances; strengthened propaganda and education to raise political awareness and stance, contributing to building up a modern and strong working class, constantly improving the efficiency of the work of gathering and developing trade unionists and trade union.

In the coming time, in order to contribute to building up a stronger and stronger Vietnam Trade Union, provincial Labor Union will further focus on key activities towards the grassroots, including implementing and concretizing the guidelines and viewpoints of the Party, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the province through programs and plans, aiming at constantly building up a strong working class while being proactive to advise on the construction and effective implementation of guidelines and policies to care for and develop the working class at the requirements in the new context.
