Cay Truong II’s Red Cross Society excels at humanitarian and social work

Under the program of "Tet for the poor and victims of Agent Orange", the Red Cross Society of Cay Truong II in Bau Bang district gave 379 gifts worth more than VND 130 million for poor, near-poor, households, disabled and lonely elderly people, orphans; mobilized units and donors to support necessities and cash for 380 poor people in the commune with a total cost of nearly VND 50 million.

In response to the "Humanitarian Month", the commune’s Red Cross Society  held 2 “zero-dong market-days”, supported 195 gifts worth more than VND90 million for the poor, the disabled and those selling lottery tickets. Under the campaign of "Each organization, each individual should stick to a humanitarian address", the local Red Cross Society coordinated with the district’s Red Cross Society to award 9 humanitarian addresses; 20 gifts worth more than VND 22 million to poor students; mobilized cadres, members and people from all strata to participate in voluntary blood donation and received 102 units of blood …
