Early August 7, a delegation of the Central Public Relations Committee, led by Ha Ngoc Anh, Deputy Head of the Central Public Relations Committee, had a working session with Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune about the local real situation on public relations improvement in new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction; the results on the local Party and government’s public relations in preventing and curbing “self-transformation”, “self-evolutions within the Party.

After six years of implementing the new rural construction program, An Binh commune has so far fulfilled 15 out of 19 criteria and strived to reach the remaining four ones by the end of 2018. As of now, the commune’s total mobilized capital in realizing the new rural construction program has reached more than VND200billion. The commune has considered and granted more than 3,800 health insurance cards to poor, near-poor households and ethnic minority people; built and upgraded 54 “great unity” houses; supported over VND369million for the poor; coordinated with the Bank for Social Policies to disburse more than VND13.56trillion in loan for 577 poor, near-poor and ethnic minority households…to develop production models. Till now, the average income of locals has obtained VND44million per person per month. The number of the local poor households has reduced to 39 or 0.86% of total…

For publics relation in preventing and curbing “self-transformation”, “self-evolutions within the Party, the commune’s Party Committee over the past time focused on instructing people from all strata to thoroughly grasp the Party’s guidelines and policies as well as central resolutions and conclusions; upheld the role of ownership of people, Fatherland Front and mass organizations in gathering the national great unity bloc; strengthened inspection and supervision over the Party and members…

On the afternoon of the same day, the delegation had a working session with the district’s Party Committee. The district’s public relations over the past time made significant contributions to rural construction program and poverty reduction, creating positive changes in awareness and action of the Party, government and people. The district’s total mobilized capital for new rural construction has till now amounted to more than VND1trillion. There have been 8 out of 10 communes meeting criteria of the new rural construction program; 343 poor households under the province’s poverty line or 1.55% of total; 102 poor households enjoying social support or 0.46% of total and 778 near-poor households or 3.52% of total. The local authorities at all levels instructed people from all strata to thoroughly grasp the Party and State’s guidelines and policies in upholding the role of ownership of people in association with curbing ideological, ethical and lifestyle degradation as well as the manifestation of “self-evolution” and “self-transformation” inside the Party; mobilized the strength of people in socio-economic development…

On behalf of the delegation, Mr.Anh spoke highly of efforts by the local authorities at all levels in implementing central instructions. Phu Giao district and An Binh commune reached good results in new rural construction, poverty reduction and public relations. The delegations also acknowledged petitions by localities to perfect the committee’s projects in the coming time…
