CEP’s scholarships awarded to poor-but-excellent pupils

The Capital Aid Fund for Employment of the Poor (CEP), on August 6, held a ceremony to award 51 scholarships worth between VND700,000 and VND1mln each to poor-but-excellent pupils who are the offspring of CEP’s members and donated 2 houses of compassion to members in need of housing.

It is known that CEP has decided to award 388,370 notebooks, 51,550 pens and 1,326 scholarships worth VND3.4bln to poor-but-excellent pupils across the country this year.

After 21 years of operation, CEP has always aimed at the poor, helping them create jobs by themselves, increasing income for them and their families. In Binh Duong, CEP has been implemented in TDM city, Thuan An town and some communes, townships in Tan Uyen, Ben Cat districts, greatly contributing to the province’s goal of poverty reduction. Since its inception, the branch of CEP in TDM city has provided VND450bln in loan for more than 53,000 people. The branch now serves over 10,400 members with total outstanding loan of nearly VND62bln.
