Ceremonial anniversary of 40 years of the South liberation and nation unification

Late April 27, at the square of Binh Duong Provincial Center of Concentrated Administration, local Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held the anniversary of 40 years of the South liberation and nation unification (April 30, 1975 to April 30, 2015). Attending the event was Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet, the former member of Politburo and former State President, General Tran Dai Quang, member of Politburo and Minister of Public Security, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son, the member of Central Committee of CPV and Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with other ministers, heads, and neighbor representatives. For Binh Duong Province’s half, attending the event was Mr. Mai The Trung, the member of Central Committee of CPV, the Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Head of Binh Duong Provincial NA Delegation, Mr. Pham Van Canh, the permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Council, Mr. Tran Van Nam, the Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Chair of Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi, the standing member of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Chair of Binh Duong Provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee, all-time leaders, heroic mothers, veteran revolutionists, people’s armed force heroes and heroines, officers, heads of departments, sectors, and majority of the public in the province.

At 19:00, the marching started by the leading flower-decorated vehicle with portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party and national flags and the armed force in mass marching depicting socio-economic, internal political, and general blocks, provincial veterans, people’s unity, localities, establishments and State-owned enterprises in the province.

In his speech inaugurating the event, Mr. Mai The Trung, the member of Central Committee of CPV, the Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee and Head of Binh Duong Provincial NA Delegation stressed that the 40-year celebration of the South liberation and nation unification was an opportunity for local Party Committee, the armed forces, and the public of Binh Duong Province to remember the greatest merit and contribution of the people and soldiers as well as to review the whole pathway of construction and development with deeper awareness of valuable wartime lessons so that the cause of construction, development, and protection of Socialist Vietnam would be promoted.

On behalf of the Party and the State, General Tran Dai Quang, member of Politburo and Minister of Public Security highly appreciated and appraised the patriotism and bravety of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, armed forces, and people for their contribution to the cause of people liberation and nation unification as well as construction and protection of Socialist Vietnam. According to the general, the upcoming political tasks of the whole Party, the armed forces, and the people would be of great responsibility requiring Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, armed forces, and peole to promote the revolutionary tradition and unity in making use of potentials and boosting fast and sustainable society and economy as well as global integration.

In the solemn atmosphere, Doan Van Thai, the people’s armed force hero and a participant in liberation of Thu Dau Mot, emotionally, said: “We are very moved for this day of gathering and remembering the fallen martyrs, people, and comrades for the cause of people liberation. We are much prouder to see a changing Binh Duong Province and extremely happy to celebrate the achievements of the province.”

The upcoming on-stage shows depicted the struggling and recovering from war to construct and develop Binh Duong Province for the past time. The colorful and sparking firework concluded the ceremony showing high flying dreams in Binh Duong Province.
