Children affected by Covid-19 offered long-term support

Taking care of children in difficult circumstances during the Covid-19 epidemic, the Sponsoring Council of Binh Duong provincial Children's Fund has just developed a plan to organize a program of "long-term sponsorship" for children in difficult circumstances when the loved ones passed away due to the Covid-19 epidemic. 

This is a program full of humanity, creating conditions for children not to have their studies interrupted due to the epidemic by helping their families to stabilize their lives. To be eligible for this program, children must meet all three criteria of having a parent or both parents or a direct caregiver who has been lost due to the Covid-19 epidemic; children from poor and  nearly-poor households and households with real difficulties; and children studying from grade 1 to under 16 years old.

The level of support for each education level is as follows: Level 1 is VND 500,000 month; Level 2 VND 800,000 a month; and Level 3 VND 1.2 million a month. The supporting period is from September 2021 to May 2022. Currently, localities are reviewing and making a list of the disadvantaged children to provide timely support.
