Chon Thanh water plant inaugurated

Binh Duong Water-Environment Joint Stock Company (Biwase), on December 16, held a ceremony to inaugurate Chon Thanh water plant for the first phase in Chon Thanh district’s Thanh Tam commune in Binh Phuoc province.

Attending the event were former State President Nguyen Minh Triet; Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of Binh Phuoc province’s Party Committee; Pham Van Canh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Binh Duong province’s Party Committee cum Chairman of Binh Duong province’s People’s Committee; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Chairman of Binh Duong province’s People’s Committee; Labor Hero Cao Lai Quang, Chairman of Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association…

The first phase of the water plant is capable of providing 30,000 cubic meters per day with a total investment of VN330billion, facilitating Binh Phuoc province’s investment attraction and promoting the province’s industrial-service-urban complex and 5 neighboring industrial parks (IPs) with more than 4,000 hectares in total. With nearly 100 kilometers of water supply pipe networking, it can supply clean water to 100,000 locals.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mr.Quang spoke highly of the role of investor in developing the water plan in line with a policy on regional connectivity, facilitating the local socio-economic development.

On behalf of Binh Phuoc province, Mr.Minh thanked leaders of Binh Duong for their attention and help to Binh Phuoc and highlighted solidarity between the two localities. The water plant will contribute to promoting Binh Phuoc’s industrial-service-urban complex and neighboring IPs.

On this occasion, Binh Phuoc province’s People’s Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to Biwase and Dai Phu Thinh Co.Ltd., construction constructor of the water plant (photo)
