Closing ceremony of 10th provincial FFC congress for 2024-2029 term: "People as foundation", "People as center" in activities of FFCs at all levels

Yesterday morning (August 27), the 10th provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) congress for the 2024-2029 term entered its second working day and concluded at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center The congress was attended by Nguyen Minh Triet, former Politburo Member and former State President; Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; provincial leaders and 315 official delegates representing the great unity bloc of Binh Duong province.

Promoting the strength of great national unity

At the congress, Nguyen Van Danh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial FFC and National Assembly deputy reported on the results of the first working day. Accordingly, on the first working day, the congress reviewed and approved a summary report on the implementation of the Action Program of the 9th Congress of provincial FFC for the 2019-2024 tenure, along with orientations, goals and Action Program for the 2024-2029 tenure. The congress also reviewed the self-assessment report on the activities of the 9th provincial FFC for the 2019-2024 tenure and discussed many other important topics.

During the congress, delegates also presented and discussed various topics, including "Thu Dau Mot city’s FFC promotes the implementation of Project No.02 and participates in building a waste-free city; implementing a urban greenery project"; "The role of youth in implementing Project No.06 and digital transformation in Binh Duong province"; many heartfelt opinions from grassroots front officials.

In the new tenure, provincial FFC and its member organizations will continue clearly defining their core mission as the construction and consolidation of a great national unity bloc. Provincial FFCs at all levels will be the place to unite the great national unity bloc, promote the people's ownership right and act as a bridge between the people and the Party. Simultaneously, provincial FFCs at all levels will further launch and enhance the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns among the people; intensify activities directed towards grassroots and residential areas; improve self-management and solidarity in residential areas…

With six action programs, in the new tenure, provincial FFC strives to achieve specific targets. Particularly, every residential area will have at least one outstanding project or specific initiative, contributing to community building and service every year. 100% of poor and near-poor households in the province will be reviewed, supported, visited and given gifts during Tet and great holidays by provincial FFCs at all levels in collaboration with member organizations and relevant sectors. 100% of families affected by natural disasters or other incidents will receive support from provincial FFCs at all levels and their member organizations. The effective operation of teams that capture the people's sentiments and teams that receive public feedback related to key projects of the province at the provincial level and in nine districts and cities will be maintained. Every year, provincial-level FFC will conduct at least five monitoring activities and engage in social criticism on at least three issues. Additionally, provincial FFCs at all levels will actively promote digital transformation and the application of information technology in their activities as well as educating and mobilizing people to improve their technology skills, particularly in the use of online public services.

Taking people's happiness as measure

Speaking at the 10th provincial FFC congress for the 2024-2029 tenure, Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee and Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation emphasized that the most important task for provincial FFCs at all levels in the coming years is to continue building and strengthening the great national unity bloc, bringing together people from all strata to ensure high unity in both thought and action; strive to successfully achieve the goal of building Binh Duong into a modern, smart and affectionate city. The focus is on mobilizing collective strength to successfully implement provincial Planning for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which has been approved by the Prime Minister.

"People are the center and the driving force of the development process; promoting the people's ownership right; taking the people’s happiness as the measure and the ultimate goal. Provincial FFCs at all levels must further innovate in terms of operational contents and methods, ensuring close ties with the people, focusing on grassroots, being truly practical and effective", Mr. Loi noted.

Provincial Party Committee Secretary also expressed his hope that during the 2024-2029 tenure, provincial FFCs at all levels will make even stronger innovation in propaganda, mobilization work and movements that are closely aligned with the specific features, needs, objectives and development tasks of the locality in the spirit of "Thinking honestly, speaking honestly, acting honestly, achieving real results and ensuring that the people truly benefit”; further improve the quality of activities, making significant contributions to the overall development of the province in the coming period…

Provincial Party Committee Secretary believes that in the new tenure, provincial FFC will further promote the spirit of unity, pioneering, exemplary behavior, intellect and creativity so that provincial FFC  will truly be a reliable address, a common home of unity and consensus among people from all strata in the entire province…".

At the first meeting of the 10th provincial FFC held earlier, the newly elected committee agreed to appoint a standing committee, consisting of seven members (with two positions to be filled during the tenure). Nguyen Van Danh, provincial National Assembly deputy, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of the 9th provincial FFC, was re-elected as Chairman for the 10th provincial FFC. On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee awarded the certificate of merit to provincial FFC  for its outstanding achievements in front work during the 2019-2024 tenure.
Speaking at the 10th FFC congress for the 2024-2029 tenure, Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee praised significant achievements done by the 9th provincial FFC during the 2019-2024 tenure. She also emphasized several key points for the congress to focus on in order to implement a unified program such as closely adhering to the Party's viewpoints and policies, especially the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, including the Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW of the 13th Central Party Committee on further promoting the tradition and strength of great national unity. This gets involved in effectively implementing the seven groups of solutions identified in the resolution in line with the specific conditions of the province, enhancing the substance of monitoring, social criticism and participation in the fight against corruption and negative phenomena, igniting the role, creativity, and determination of the people through continuous innovation in methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns. The focus should be on renewing operational contents and methods in a way that is appropriate, flexible and responsive to the demands of innovation; proactively coordinating with provincial People's Council, People's Committee and National Assembly deputy delegation through coordination regulations and programs. Provincial FFCs at all levels should uphold the effectiveness of self-management group models by integrating contents and developing evaluation criteria to effectively implement the VFF’s Program No. 6 on "Building self-management, united, prosperous and happy residential areas”…
