Nineteen tourism operators from the public and private sector came together at Phan Thiet City in Binh Thuan province for a seminar aimed at connectivity to boost tourism in Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam (CLV).
“We are hoping that a unified approach to promoting the region as a travel destination will boost tourism and create a sustainable platform upon which to build,” said Deputy Minister Chaleune Warinthrasak of the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism.
Since 1995, the province has attracted 3,893 tourism projects with investment of US$2.46 million (VND55,300 billion). Tourism development has helped the province generate more jobs for local people and improve their living conditions.
