Collectives and individuals commended for high achievements at the 32nd SEA Games and "Vietnam's seas and islands" contest

On May 30, at Provincial Sports Competition and Training Center, a ceremony took place to commend and reward Binh Duong’s successful coaches and athletes that gained high achievements at the 32nd SEA Game; and commended officials, singers, and actors taking part in the National Mobile Propaganda Contest "Vietnam's Seas and Islands" 2023. The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation and Education Committee.

At SEA Games 32, Binh Duong sports team included 3 coaches and 14 athletes competing in 10 sports; namely, 3 coaches of Muay, Billiards, Karate; 14 athletes competed in following sports: Chess, Kun Khmer, Arnis, Pencak Silat, Boxing, Billiards, Tennis, Taekwondo, and Women's Bicycle. At the end of the 32nd SEA Games, with their efforts and determination, Binh Duong athletes won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medals, contributing to the overall achievement of the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 32nd SEA Games.

In particular, the most prominent is the gold medal of chess player Lai Ly Huynh (individual standard chess) and 2 silver medals in Kun Khmer martial arts of Duong Duc Bao (48kg men) and Pham Thi Bich Lieu (52kg women). With these achievements, athlete Lai Ly Huynh received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister; the remaining 3 coaches and 8 athletes received certificates of merit from Chairman of Provincial People's Committee. In addition, businesses inside and outside the province also gave gifts to Binh Duong athletes who won high prizes at the 32nd SEA Games.

In culture - arts, singers and actors of Binh Duong continuously made remarkable achievements at national competitions and festivals. Most recently, at the National Mobile Propaganda Contest themed "Vietnam Sea and Islands 2023" held in Hai Phong, Binh Duong delegation won 3 gold and 2 silver medals. Binh Duong was evaluated as one of the two units with the best performance program out of a total of 46 participating provinces, cities, and industries.
