Colors in summer youth volunteer campaign

The annual summer youth volunteer campaign has always got striking with “Red flamboyant” campaign, “Green operation”, “Green summer”…, drawing a beautiful picture about the voluntary spirit of the local youngsters.

This year, all high schools, vocational training and continuing educational centers in the province have set up volunteer squads on making environmental protection; visiting and taking care of revolutionary contributors, lonely elderly people, pupils and children with difficult circumstances; organizing training courses on skills against school violence…

Particularly, Dau Tieng district’s “Red flamboyant” volunteer squad carried out environmental hygiene at Suoi Truc tourism site. Ben Cat high school’s volunteer squad also visited and offered gifts to Chanh Phu Hoa Social Support Center and provincial Social Support Center. In addition, the squad visited Kien An forest historical tourism site; coordinated with the Youth Union of My Phuoc ward to clean up the ward’s monument for martyrs; visited and donated gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families…In North Tan Uyen district, Le Loi high school’s volunteers propagandized and guided locals how to install and use the contact-tracing Bluezone app.

Coming to the annual Green Summer campaign, the local Youth Union members, students from colleges, universities have contributed to beautifying streets and rivers; carried out social welfare programs, offering help to needy cases. Whilst, the “Pink campaign” is seen as the hallmark of Youth Union members under provincial Agency-Business Bloc’s Youth Union. This year, they have further organized many practical programs, including visiting, providing free medical check-up, medicine and gifts for heroic Vietnamese mothers, policy beneficiary families, people with difficult circumstances. In Dau Tieng district, the Youth Union branch of Dau Tieng One-Member Co.Ltd. visited, encouraged senior laborers while further promoting the movement of “Cultural beauty in garden” among plantations, processing factories and departments.

Many other Youth Union branches also organized “Green Sunday”, “Voluntary Saturday” programs with many practical activities on environmental hygiene done; coordinated with mass organizations, localities, units to carry out works, contributing to raising public awareness of environmental protection.

Do Van Phung, Director of provincial Support Center for Young Workers said that under the “Pink vacation” campaign, the center launched “Green Sunday” programs with many activities on environmental hygiene among young workers; offered help to young workers with difficult circumstances; teamed up with relevant units to hold journeys connecting young workers, carried out social activities and paid visits to “red” addresses, aiming to educate young workers about historical traditions, strengthen revolutionary ideal and love for the nation among them…

Under the “Green operation” campaign, the Youth Unions of provincial Military Command and Police Agency jointly got involved in many significant activities such as upgrading 1km of rural road; planting more than 200 “chuong vang” flower trees; giving home healthcare for 6 heroic Vietnamese mothers; providing free medical check-up, medicine for 100 people. Provincial Youth Union also joined hands with the Youth Union of provincial Police Agency to offer 1 “sentiment to comrade” house and 18 gifts to members. In addition, the Youth Union of provincial Military Command worked with the Youth Unions of An Binh ward, PC04 under provincial Police Agency to organize a program “I love my motherland” with a variety of meaningful activities…
