Commander and poet Huynh Van Nghe’s 40th death anniversary commemorated

A ceremony to commemorate the 40th death anniversary of military commander and poet Huynh Van Nghe was held at his temple in North Tan Uyen’s Thuong Tan commune on February 12.
He made contributions to the revolutionary cause of Dong Nai and Binh Duong in particular and the southern region in general. The ballation 10, the first armed force of Bien Hoa province under his leadership set feats of arms during the anti-French resistance war.
On this occasion, delegates had a chance to review his talent via poems and handwriting. The organizers also awarded 56 scholarships worth VND1million each to poor-but-excellent pupils at 6 schools named after him in Dong Nai, HCM city and Binh Duong.
