Comments on the Draft Law on Social Insurance (amended) collected

On May 18, at Provincial Labor Culture Center, Provincial Labor Confederation held a workshop to collect comments on the Draft Law on Social Insurance (amended). Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice President of Provincial Labor Confederation, chaired the conference. The conference also had the participation of representatives of social insurance leaders; Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; Department of Justice; Provincial Management Board of Industrial Parks; experts from Provincial Bar Association, and trade union officials, representatives of grassroots trade unions of 30 enterprises in the province.

At the workshop, the delegates discussed and commented directly on articles of the Draft Law on Social Insurance (amended), such as: creating flexible conditions for employees to withdraw one-time social insurance; handle enterprises owing social insurance premium; flexibility in implementing the maternity regime; regulations on retirement age, pension enjoyment time, etc. The comments of delegates were recorded by Provincial Labor Confederation then were transferred to Drafting Committee of the Draft Law on Social Insurance (amended) for further study and adjustment, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of employees.

The Draft Law on Social Insurance (amended) includes 9 chapters and 133 articles, 8 more articles than the current law.
