Commercial electricity output reaches nearly 6.7 billion kWh

According to Binh Duong Power Company, the province’s commercial electricity output in the first five months of 2024 reached nearly 6.7 billion kWh, an increase of 13.8% compared to the same period last year. Of these, the amount of electricity supplied to the industrial sector was nearly 4.9 billion kWh, accounting for 73.2% of total and increasing by 12.9% compared to the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year, the province’s electricity sector has focused on encouraging manufacturing enterprises to actively implement solutions for efficient and economical electricity use. As a result, 39,917 customers in the targeted group have implemented electricity-saving measures, saving a total of 219.84 million kWh. Additionally, Binh Duong Power Company and its affiliates have completed agreements with all 1,845 customers to shift their load, contributing to the safety of the electrical system.
