Update: 27-06-2023 | 13:55:56

On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day of June 28, Columbia Asia Hospital in Binh Duong coordinated to organize the Community Healthcare Festival at Aeon Mall Binh Duong in Thuan An city for many families and young people with exciting and meaningful activities. The program named "Basic First Aid Instruction and Practice" was with the desire to bring basic first aid skills to the community and help people understand the importance of first aids.

First aids practiced for stroke incidents

It is not enough just to take the victim to the hospital, but they need first aids before receiving any help from the medical teams. Of the helps, basic first aids at home include CPR, manual chest compressions, AED defibrillator, how to deal with foreign body choking in adults and children, stroke first aids, how to properly handle sprains, burns, nosebleeds etc.

Many hold the mindset that there is nothing they can do to help the victims unless they are doctors. However, the instruction of doctors and nurses at the festival help everyone understand that first aids is a necessary before receiving medical treatments. If the victim is given first aids correctly, it will help maintain life and reduce the severity inflicted on the victim and increase their ability to recover later on.

In addition to the health counseling program, the children who come to the festival can also participate in interesting games under the program.
