Competition of learning about Binh Duong Provincial Party Mass Mobilization’s history: attracts many participants

More than three months after the launch, four weekly rounds and the finals, the knowledge contest about Binh Duong Provincial Party Mass Mobilization’s history, in 1930-2020 period, has created an influential political activity with spreading social effects, and attracted the participation of many Party members, union members, pupils, students, armed forces, and all classes of people living, studying, and working in the province.

Over 36,000 contestants

According to the organizers, after four weekly contests took place from August 22 to September 16, their system recorded 36,805 contestants. Excellently passing these rounds, 16 contestants with the highest total scores were present at the final round, which took place from September 19 to 21.

With 11/16 contestants entering the final round of this contest, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology is also one of the leading units in the number of contestants gaining high prizes. Le Thi An, lecturer at General Faculty of Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, said: “In order to widely disseminate and encourage officials, lecturers, and students to actively join the contest, we carried out dissemination of the purpose, meaning, content, rules, and testing methods of this contest by appropriate forms”. Le Thi An herself is also one of the contestants who won many prizes of this contest, namely a second prize in week 4 and third prize in week 3.

She said: “From the moment I knew about the contest, I longed to take part in the competition. Every week, every day, I spend my free time sitting the tests. After four weeks, I did tests up to 12 times and won 1 second prize and 1 third prize. These prizes bring joy, and more importantly, provide useful information helping me better understand the history of the provincial Party Committee."

To love Binh Duong more

Coming from another province to live and work in Binh Duong, Nguyen Van Dong, Faculty of Examinations and School Quality Assurance of Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology, shared: “The contest helps me have more love for the peaceful land Binh Duong, people here are friendly; and helps me have a new look at the history and traditions of this land. The contest helps me love Binh Duong even more. Certainly, Binh Duong is my second hometown!”.

Knowing about the contest through his school, student Tran Thanh Nhan, Faculty of Accounting - Finance and Banking, said: “I did tests 9 times and luckily got the first prize in the first week. At school, I was encouraged by teachers to take part in the contest, and then I invited more friends to join it. Entering this competition helped me acquire a huge amount of knowledge that I probably won't know, if I don't take these tests".

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, Standing Deputy Head of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee, said: “Through four rounds of weekly competitions, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 100 prizes to the contestants. Each week we had 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes, and 20 consolation prizes. This year, the number of contestants is quite large, the quality of the exam is good. The contest created a movement with spreading political activities having good social effects, drawing the participation of many Party members, union members, pupils, students, armed forces, and all classes of people living, studying and working in the province. Currently, the organizers are marking entries of the finalists.

The contest achieved good initial results because the Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee soon issued a plan, implemented synchronously and effectively the propagation work, and provided fully materials to create a political event that is compelling and spreading in recent weeks. This contest has some new things, registration and testing methods are easier, more attractive, more dramatic. Contestants only need smartphones to participate in the contest anywhere, anytime. The questions are diverse, involve many fields, requiring contestants to have knowledge about not only the history of the province's mass mobilization movement but also socio-economic life.
