Conference approves draft report on inspection results at provincial Party Standing Committee

Early September 20, General Luong Cuong, Politburo member, member of the Standing Board of the Central Military Commission, Chairman of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, member of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, Head of the Inspection Team No. 6 chaired a conference approving the draft report on inspection results at the Standing Board of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee.

At the conference

Participating in the Inspection Team No. 6 were representatives of the Supreme People's Procuracy; departments and units under the Party Central Committee (PCC)'s Commission for Internal Affairs, the PCC’s Central Organization Commission, the PCC’s Inspection Commission, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme People's Court, the Government Inspectorate and the State Audit. Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; members of provincial Party Standing Committee and representatives of a number of agencies and units in the province received the delegation.

On behalf of the delegation, Le Tien Dung, Deputy Head of the Local Department I, the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, and Secretary of the inspection delegation announced a draft report on inspection results at the Standing Board of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee. Accordingly, during the reporting period, the Standing Board of provincial Party Committee and provincial People's Committee issued more than 70 documents to concretize the leadership, direction and organization of implementing the Party's regulations and the State's laws on anti-corruption work; regularly directed agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision, opportunely detecting and correcting shortcomings; strengthened coordination between functional agencies in detecting, transferring, receiving and handling economic corruption cases. In addition to the achieved results, the province’s work of detecting, transferring, receiving and handling information about crime, corruption and negativeness in the province also faced some shortcomings...

Concluding the conference, General Luong Cuong said that during the delegation’s inspection process, inspection units strictly complied with inspection contents and requirements, pointed out advantages, disadvantages, causes and put forward solutions. He suggested that in the coming time, the Standing Board of provincial Party Committee should continue focusing on leading and directing to further improve anti-corruption work; continue focusing on leading and directing to improve the role of leaders in agencies and units in prevention of corruption, negativeness, ideological degradation; enhance the quality of the Party’s inspection, functional agencies’ inspection and supervision...

Mr.Loi received conclusions for the delegation. On the basis of the working results of the delegation, the Standing Board of provincial Party Committee will be proactive to set up specific plans and measures to direct and lead in the coming time, further upholding achieved results and overcoming shortcomings.
