Conference held to disseminate and implement Trade Union Law 2024 and Social Insurance Law 2024

On February 5, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held a conference to disseminate and implement the Trade Union Law 2024 and the Social Insurance Law 2024. Chairing the Hanoi video conference was Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Attending the Binh Duong conference were Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Confederation; Mr. Nguyen Tan Dat, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Confederation; Mr. Dang Trung Dung, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Confederation; along with key union officials, presidents of grassroots unions under the Provincial Labor Confederation.

At the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, introduced new points of the Trade Union Law 2024 (amended) passed at the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly. This is the fourth time the Trade Union Law has been amended, attracting much attention from union members and workers.

The Social Insurance Law 2024 consists of 11 chapters and 141 articles, taking effect from July 1, 2025 with many major changes and additional benefits for participants.
