Conference on IT application on environmental and natural resources field opens

Conference on IT application on environmental and natural resources field for Southern provinces and cities took place yesterday at the provincial People’s Committee. The Information Technology for environmental and natural resources field plays an important role for 7 State managerial areas including land natural resources, mineral geology, environment, meteorology, map survey and maritime natural resources.

Over years, leaders of departments of Environment and Natural Resources nationwide have applied IT into their management, showing encouraging results. 100% of departments have built LAN network and linked internet to the provincial People’s Committees by lease line.

Aside from results of IT application, there are some obstacles of manpower, equipment, expense… and administration procedures serving for the public and businesses have yet to be computerized.
