On June 29, Binh Duong province’s Animal Health Department and the Animal Health Agency for Zone VI co-held a conference on implementation of the 2012 blue-ear-pig disease prevention plan.

The conference absorbed more than 120 owners of the breeding facilities and representatives of the big animal husbandry companies across the province.

Participants were heard information about the spread of blue-ear-pig disease in the province and some other localities. They were also taught about measures against the disease; the State’s regulations and support policies for breeders when the disease occurs…

So far, six communes of the province have been hit by blue-ear-pig disease with more than 1,700 infected pigs, more than 1,000 of which have been culled.
