Conference summing up traffic safety status in the first 6 months of 2012 held

July 5, Chairman of Provncial People’s Committee, cum Head of Traffic Safety Steering Board, Mr. Le Thanh Cung addressed the conference on traffic safety statuss in the first 6 months of 2012 at the venue of Provincial People’s Committee.Accidents in the first 6 months of the year have happened causing 197 dead, 110 injured and 224 vehicles badly damaged in 185 cases.In the meantime, the functional forces have patroled and billed 55,249 cases breaching traffic safety orders.Evaluation made by functional sectors has appraised measures of traffic safety maintenance in the first 6 months but pointed out shortcomings and drawbacks to be resolve.At the conference, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung highly appreciated efforts of all-level sectors to facilitate traffic safety while demanding them to stay focused and stressed upon targets of traffic safety including better charges against breaches and stricter control of traffic order.Reported by B.Minh – Translated by Vi Bao
