Construction of houses for the disadvantaged started in Ben Cat and Phu Giao

On May 22, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan, Political Commissar of Binh Duong Provincial Military Command, chaired the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a solidarity house for the family of Mr. Lu Van Minh and Mr. Huynh Phuong Vu in Ben Cat City. These are two households facing housing difficulties.

Each house costs 60 million VND. Funding for house construction is allocated from the budget of the Political Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Dinh Chuan said that in 2025, Binh Duong province will receive financial support from the Ministry of National Defense to build 14 solidarity houses and gratitude houses for people with meritorious services such as war invalids, martyrs' relatives, poor and near-poor households, contributing to the local Party Committee and government in performing well the social security work, and implementing well the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - no one is left behind". The total cost of 14 houses is 920 million VND.

On the same morning, Provincial Military Command and Phu Giao district held a groundbreaking ceremony to build 3 new houses for people under the program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025".

Through review and field survey, the District Military Command coordinated with Vinh Hoa, Phuoc Sang, Tan Long communes and related departments to complete documents and procedures and requested the Provincial Military Command and the Political Department of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army to support funding for house construction in 3 cases: Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a 4/4 disabled veteran, residing in Phuoc Sang commune, was supported with 80 million VND to build a house of gratitude; Mr. Bao Thi, a poor household, residing in Tan Long commune, was supported with 60 million VND and Ms. Trinh Thi Dan, a near-poor household, residing in Vinh Hoa commune, was supported with 60 million VND to build a house of great solidarity.
