Continue to innovate content and improve the quality of activities of Veterans Association

On October 6, Provincial Party Committee held a conference to summarize 20 years of implementing Resolution 09-NQ/TW dated January 8, 2002 of the 9th Politburo on strengthening the Party's leadership over veterans' work in the new revolutionary period (referred to as Resolution 09). Attending the conference were Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong, Chairman of Vietnam Civil Service Association; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee; Nguyen Thi My Hang, Chairwoman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Over 20 years of Resolution 09 implementation, awareness among officials, party members, union members and people of the position and role of civil service work has been more complete and comprehensive. Party committees at all levels regularly lead and direct advisory agencies to help implement well the work of perfecting the apparatus, planning, arranging and using officials at all levels. Governments at all levels always pay attention and support operating funds and working facilities for Veterans Associations...

Speaking at the conference, Bui Thanh Nhan asked departments, branches, branches, and local leaders continue to deeply grasp the Party's views in Resolution 09; Review regulations on coordination of activities with Veterans Association, promptly propose policy mechanisms and implement the policies of the Party and State, Veterans Association’s Ordinance, and the Government's decree on Veterans Association in accordance with the local situation. Nhan noted that associations at all levels need to continue implementing the policy "One focus, three breakthroughs" to innovate content and methods, improve the quality of association activities, and strengthen the association's organization in the future.
