Spreading love
After the appeal for support from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFF), provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC), all-level authorities, sectors, organizations and individuals in the province have focused on people affected by Yagi typhoon in the northern region with meaningful and practical actions. On September 14, provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and FFC held a ceremony to launch a fund raising campaign to support those affected by Yagi typhoon.

The campaign to support those affected by Yagi typhoon in the northern region will continue until October 30, 2024. However, the sentiments from Binh Duong towards the northern region in recent days have clearly affirmed the spirit of national unity of "People of one country should love each other".
Compassion in times of hardship
In recent days, with the spirit of “a small gift but with a big heart", many people have contributed by transferring money to the accounts of organizations calling for donations or by directly visiting collection points to donate cash and essential supplies such as instant noodles, milk, bread, bottled water, life jackets and essential medicines, with the hope that these will soon be sent to those affected by Yagi typhoon in the northern region.

With great urgency, many trucks have left Binh Duong for Yagi typhoon-affected areas in the northern region. On the evening of September 14, at the humanitarian aid center of provincial Red Cross Society (RCS) on 30-4 street in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Haa ward, provincial FFC, in coordination with provincial departments and mass organizations, loaded essential goods onto container trucks to be sent to the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai province.
Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, Chairwoman of provincial RCS stated that after the province launched the campaign, provincial RCS, FFC and other mass organizations mobilized over 20 tons of essential goods and quickly organized a shipment to support those affected by Yagi typhoon in Lao Cai province. Following this shipment, provincial RCS, together with provincial departments and mass organizations will further mobilize and organize more shipments, carrying the love and support of Binh Duong to other provinces and cities affected by Yagi typhoon.
As Vietnamese citizens, everyone wishes to contribute a small portion of material goods to bring more love and support to those facing hardship. On the evening of September 14, at the humanitarian aid center of provincial RCS on 30-4 street, a disabled person selling lottery tickets passed by, saw many people loading goods onto trucks to be sent to the northern region and stopped to donate VND 500,000 to provincial RCS to support those affected by Yagi typhoon in the northern region. Although his life is difficult, selling lottery tickets, he still wanted to contribute some love to those affected by Yagi typhoon in the northern regions. He donated without leaving his name.
In recent days, many students, elderly people and individual lottery ticket sellers have also contributed love to the North. Though being small, these beautiful gestures continue to be shown by the people of Binh Duong in various ways. Depending on their circumstances, individuals and families, with the spirit of “a small gift but with a big heart" have come together to support the northern provinces and cities in overcoming the aftermath of Yagi typhoon and rebuilding their lives.
