Contributions to Spratly and Paracel Islands

Kim Oanh JSC just held a program “Kim Oanh contribution to the homeland ocean and islands” in Binh Duong New City to donate totally VND 320 million, through the presentation of Binh Duong Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the soldiers on duty of protecting the sovereignty of the nation at the frontlines of Spratly and Paracel Islands.
As China illegally install its HD981 oil rig on territory and the exclusive economic zone of Vietnam, our ocean police and fishing managing authorities, irrespective of danger, have patiently and persistantly administer peaceful procedures to call for China to withdraw the illegal presence of HD981 in the territory of Vietnam.

On the other hand, the fishermen are unified to stay in the area to confirm the obvious territories of Vietnam on Spratly and Paracel Islands.
Joining the movement, enterprises have donated to support our righteous actions. Such unity not only fired up spirit but also created a weapon against the illegal actions of China.
The recent program held by Kim Oanh JSC is an obvious example.
According to Mrs. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, General Director of Kim Oanh JSC, the program is to call for actions of citizen as the nation is in danger while inspiring patriotism.
As the matter of fact, the program has drawn up attention and support of leaders including Mrs. Truong My Hoa – the former Deputy State President, Mr. Huynh Van Nhi of Provincial Party Committee Public Affairs and Chair of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Mrs. Mai Thi Dung – the permanent member of Provincial People’s Council, leaders of Ben Cat Town, Bau Bang District and enterprises and religious organizations in the province.
Particularly, nearly 500 employees of the company have donated 1 to 5 days of salary to contribute to duties of soldiers at the frontlines of Spratly and Paracel Islands.
”They are on day and night shifts to fulfill the duty of ocean and island protection. Even the fishermen are there to stay. Thus, we, as the beneficiaries of peace, must be obliged to fulfill duties of citizens to their own nation,” said Oanh in her speech.
As one of the enthusiasts to the program, Mr. Chu Thanh Hai, Director of Transaction Floor of the Company in Binh Duong New City, said that he was urged to act and contribute as the sovereignty of the nation was breached. He decided to contribute 5-day salary to the program.
Hai said: “We contribute our humble pay to express our gratitude to those sacrificed for their duties on Spratly and Paracel Islands.”
This is not the first time that Kim Oanh JSC holds donation program for the ocean and island territory.
Previously, the Company has led the movement of contribution for construction of schools on Spratly islands at the cost of VND 550 million through the program commanded by former Deputy State President Truong My Hoa.
