Cooperation agreement on socio-economic development between Binh Duong, Tay Ninh for 2023-2025 inked

On the afternoon of May 12, Binh Duong and Tay Ninh provinces signed a cooperation agreement on socio-economic development in the period of 2023-2025 at a conference held in Tay Ninh province.

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee, Head of Binh Duong provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Thanh Tam, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Tay Ninh provincial Party Committee, Head of Tay Ninh provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation and leaders of the Party Committees, People's Councils, People's Committees, Fatherland Front Committees and departments and sectors of the two provinces; leaders of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and Becamex IDC.

At the conference, leaders of the two localities exchanged and shared about the achievements and results of economic development and the advantages of each locality while discussing and agreeing on a number of signing principles to ensure equality and mutual benefit on the basis of upholding the advantages of the two localities and in accordance with the law. Particularly, the two sides will strengthen cooperation to accelerate the progress of regional connection projects; implement contents related to the approved planning such as road network planning, inland waterway infrastructure planning; unify the planning of 2 roads and bridges connecting DT789 (Tay Ninh) with DT744 (Binh Duong) in the provincial planning for the period of 2021-2030, vision to 2050; research and select investment in a connection project and start construction in the period of 2024-2025; unanimously propose and recommend relevant ministries and sectors to speed up the implementation of projects on upgrading the national inland waterway of the Saigon River with the standard of second-class channel as planned; make planning and announce inland waterway channels on Dau Tieng reservoir.

In the field of investment, the two sides will jointly promote and create conditions for Becamex IDC to research and implement investment an urban - industry - service complex project in Tay Ninh province; support and share information on planning, especially planning for industrial and urban parks; share information on preferential policies in the fields of development of industrial parks and compounds, urban development, infrastructure development, investment promotion, etc. They will also coordinate in the implementation of planning and management of natural resources and environmental protection of Dau Tieng reservoir and Dau Tieng reservoir basin; coordinate in providing, sharing information, exchanging experience in digital transformation, administrative reform, improving the investment environment and enhancing competitiveness; effectively implement cooperation contents in developing and linking tourism products; support the tasks of exchanging information and experience in ensuring security, order and preventing crime, ensuring traffic order, safety and fire prevention...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Loi emphasized that this is a milestone marking a new cooperation between the two provinces while hoping that the two localities will soon implement the signed contents. He spoke highly of the cooperation ideas and proposals of Becamex IDC, the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group with provincial People's Committee and wished to soon integrate them into the local planning. He also required leaders of the two provinces, departments, sectors and enterprises of the two sides to participate in the process of investment and development of projects in order to promptly remove obstacles.
