Cooperation for mutual development

The Southeast is a dynamically developing economic region. In which, Ho Chi Minh City plays the role of the nucleus. Therefore, in the cooperation and development process, it is necessary to create a common economic space for the growth of the whole region. From there, promote the potential and advantages of each locality and join hands to solve major problems, remove "bottlenecks", solve difficulties and obstacles for the common development of the region. The cooperation needs to be focused, in which priority is given to some areas such as industrial development, agriculture, trade - services, transport infrastructure, in which special emphasis is placed on traffic connection…

 Over the years, becoming more and more aware of the position, role and importance of the Southeast region, the provinces and cities in the region have always actively innovated their thinking and vision, promoting dynamism and creativity in direction and administration, achieved important achievements in the socio-economic development of each locality. The opinion of some economic experts is that Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces in the region need to build a regional linkage mechanism to become the dominant thinking throughout the process of building common development. When localities and businesses are connected, strong links will create a large space for socio-economic development together. In particular, it is emphasized that the connection between provinces and cities is very decisive in the economic development speed of each locality as well as the region. At the same time, in the development process, in order to achieve rapid and sustainable development, localities need to maximize the strengths of each locality, apply scientific and technological advances and innovate; drastically implement digital transformation, build a digital economy, a digital society, invest in infrastructure development, and traffic connection...

The conference held last weekend on summarizing the program of socio-economic development cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and the Southeast provinces is of special significance, creating a breakthrough for the socio-economic; opening up new opportunities for development for each locality and the whole region. The conference is also a condition and opportunity for effective cooperation and implementation of Resolution No. 24 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 154 of the Government on socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security in Southeast region up to 2030, vision for 2045; thereby effectively exploiting and promoting the potential and advantages of each locality, promoting the socio-economic development of the Southeast region quickly and sustainably, in line with the country's socio-economic development strategy.
