Cooperation in market inspection gets high efficiency

Provincial Market Control Department held a function to mark the 54th traditional day of the market control sector and partially sum up its activities in the first half of the year.

At the ceremony, provincial Market Control Department defined its tasks for the rest of the year, including actively protecting customers’ rights and interests; tightening control over the market; well realizing provincial People’s Committee’s Direction No.32, especially measures to stabilize the marco-economy and ensure social welfare under the Government’s Resolution No.11. It will also set up a plan to make market inspection of the Mid-Autumn festival, the traditional Tet festival, the Lady Thien Hau Temple festival…

Over the past six months, provincial Market Control Department made inspection of 567 cases and discovered 386 cases violating the regulations on price, measurement-quality...It also dealt with 353 wrong cases with a total fine of VND856mln. There was also an effective cooperation between the department and other relevant agencies, helping find out 334 wrong cases with a total fine of more than VND111mln.

The department also sped up the law dissemination to traders and customers; strengthened the anti-smuggling work and well cooperated with delegations in making inspection of the local business activities.
