Cooperation with Europe considered as top priority in development process of Binh Duong

On the afternoon of January 19, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee received a delegation of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), led by JeanJacques Bouflet, Vice-President of EuroCham.

At the reception, Mr. Minh said that Binh Duong has always upheld the spirit of dynamism, creativity and achieved many achievements in recent years. In 2021, despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the province's socio-economic development still gained stable growth with bright spots in a number of fields. As of now, the province has controlled the pandemic and is transitioning to the safe and flexible adaptation and effective control of the pandemic to restore and develop the local economy. Binh Duong has continued promoting administrative reform, improving the local investment environment, and removing enterprises’difficulties. He also spoke highly of the cooperation programs between the European Union (EU) and Binh Duong over the past time, and emphasized that the province has always considered cooperation with members of the EU as the top priority in the local development process. In the coming time, Binh Duong wants that the EU will continue helping and sharing experiences with the province in the fields of green economy, circular economy, environmental protection, financial services, energy, logistics...

For his part, Jean-Jacques Bouflet also expressed his belief in the economic development of Binh Duong province in the coming time. Although being heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, most European enterprises in the province have resumed operations. Binh Duong is also one of the country’s leading localities in flexibly adapting and promptly controlling Covid-19 pandemic for economic recovery, thereby continuing building up the image of a safe investment destination for investors, including European ones. Currently, Binh Duong is among three most important localities in cooperation with EuroCham in Vietnam. EU members are ready to share experiences with Binh Duong in the advantageous fields while hoping that in the near future, the two sides will work together to support the recovery of production, increase cooperation capacity and economic development...
