Cooperative’s activities in need of reinforcement and improvement

Reportedly, as of Oct. 2011, the entire province had 103 cooperatives and credit funds with 45,847 members and the total chartered capital of VND179.6bil. The cooperatives have positively spurred economic development, poverty reduction and new rural building.

The provincial Cooperative Alliance targets to develop collective economy in 2012 with a 5% increase of new cooperative teams, 12% rise of cooperatives and 12% jump of collective economy.

Addressing the working session, Tran Thanh Liem said that cooperatives’ members must dedicate themselves for the cause of cooperative. From now till 2020, all public services will be socialized completely. This will be a good chance for cooperatives to develop production.
