Coordination in handling situation of "slow" enterprises with social insurance debt

A representative of provincial social insurance authority said that over the past time, the recovery of social insurance debts in the province achieved good results, especially after the authority signed a regulation on coordination with the local police agency. Accordingly, the two units had specific plans to work with enterprises that owed social insurance premiums with the signs of "slowness" and deliberately not doing pay, affecting the interests and rights of employees.

The signing of the regulation on coordination between provincial social insurance authority and police agency has brought high efficiency in the collection of social insurance debts

Nguyen Duy Hieu, Deputy Director of provincial social insurance authority said that over the past time, the unit cooperated with the local police agency in collecting debts of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for 123 units with 7,151 laborers, total debt of VND43.45 billion. As a result, there were 84 units recovering the debt, reaching the recovery rate of 54.18%. In addition, over the past 10 months, provincial social insurance authority provided debt information of 3,580 units to relevant agencies, departments and sectors, with a total debt of VND 390 billion.

In the last 2 months of 2022, provincial social insurance authority in collaboration with the local police agency to further work with 300 enterprises that owe social insurance premiums. Every month, the authority sends a written notice of the list of employers that still have to pay social insurance premiums for 3 months or more to provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Labor Union, Industrial Parks Management Board. For provincial Tax Department, the list is sent it quarterly.

According to provincial social insurance authority, the total debt as of October 31, 2022 was more than VND 1.03trillion, accounting for 4.06% of the revenue plan (0.21% higher than the previous month, down 0.44% compared to the same period last year).
