Counseling and provision of reproductive health care services for workers enhanced

The Ministry of Health has issued Decision 2899/QD-BYT approving a project to provide consultation and reproductive health care services for workers in industrial parks (IPs) and export processing zones (EPZs) for the period 2024-2030. Project implementation period from 2024 to the end of 2030. The beneficiaries of the project are workers in industrial parks and export processing zones.

Accordingly, the project's goal is to improve health, reduce the incidence of reproductive health and sexual health diseases of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones, contributing to increasing labor productivity for businesses. In addition, the project also has specific objectives, such as: strengthening the commitment of policy makers, local authorities, trade unions and relevant parties to create a favorable environment for health care and reproductive health care of workers; enhancing the social responsibility of enterprises in industrial parks and export processing zones in developing and implementing policies on reproductive health care for workers; improving the capacity of the health system in providing reproductive health care services suitable to the living conditions and working hours of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones; raising awareness and enhancing access of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones to appropriate reproductive health care and sexual health services.
