Country has 134.2mil telephone subscribers

According to the General Department of Statistics, by the end of Feb. 2012, the number of telephone subscribers in Vietnam reached 134.2 million, an increase of 18.2 per cent compared to last year.   

As such, the number of Internet users was 32.6 million, up by 18.4 percent by Feb. 2011. In addition, the number of new telephone subscribers in the first 2 months of this year won 1.94mil, a 34.1% increase from 2011, of which the fixed subscribers were 4.900, and over 1.93mil of mobile phones.

As of Feb. 2012, the nation’s telephone subscribers reached 134.2 million, up by 3.6 per cent from the previous year,

According to experts, development of telecommunication area helps consumption price of commodity and service groups decrease whilst the remaining goods groups increase sharply.
