Vietnam’s woodwork export turnover in the first three months of 2010 reached US$770mln. According to the Viet Nam Timber and Forest Product Association, the industry’s export turnover is likely to gain US$3bln this year. Since early this year, the industry has seen obvious growth with export turnover reaching US$270mln in January, US$220mln in February and US$280mln in March. Its main export markets are now U.S, Japan and EU.
The industry’s three-month consumption was estimated to get nearly 26% of this year’s projection. Noticeably, many woodwork businesses signed business contacts with partners for the whole year, even for the next year.
