Creating all favorable conditions for smart city to soon make true

On the afternoon of October 21, provincial People's Committee held an online conference with leaders and experts of Eindhoven city in the Netherlands in order to share information related to smart cities and make orientations for the implementation of the Binh Duong smart city project in the new normal period at provincial Exhibition and Convention Center.

The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Vo Van Minh, Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hung, CEO of Becamex IDC and leaders of departments and sectors in the province. On the side of Eindhoven city, there were Peter Portheine, Director of Brainport Group, former member of Noord Brabant Regional Council; Joost Helms, Director of Eindhoven Academy, former Vice-Mayor of Eindhoven city.

At the conference, Mr. Hung highlighted a number of typical smart city projects in the province's socio-economic development in the new normal period. Representative of Eindhoven city shared basic orientations of the Dutch smart city; international experiences in building smart cities, post-pandemic socio-economic recovery, development orientations of the province towards a smart city...

Mr. Loi applauded cooperation between Eindhoven city with Becamex IDC and the province while creating all favorable conditions for ideas and strategies to help Binh Duong develop in the future. He hoped that this cooperation will bring practical effects in the development process of Binh Duong. In addition, he proposed the Executive Board of the Binh Duong Smart City project to recheck 12 key projects in 2021 to focus on implementing in the coming time. Provincial leaders are also determined to implement the smart city project. The province, Becamex IDC and Eindhoven city continue building up relationships with institutes and schools, helping the locality to build and attract high technologies, high-quality human resources, creating all favorable conditions for the smart city project to soon make true.
