Creating jobs for children of people credited with revolutionary service is a meaningful work

In recent years, authorities at all levels and social organizations in the province have always paid much attention to supporting vocational training and job creation for children and relatives of people credited with revolutionary service (contributors). This has not only help policy families reduce difficulties, stabilize their lives but also contribute to social security.

Vocational training of rural labor creates conditions for children of disadvantaged policy families to learn and have their own business.

To focus on human resource development

With the meaning of gratitude, Binh Duong always pay special attention to students as children of contributors.  To implement Circular No. 36/2015 / TT-BLDTBXH of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on preferential regimes in education and training for contributors and their children, Binh Duong has supported school fees for contributor’s children that are studying at pre-schools, high schools, continuing education, boarding ethnic high schools, pre-university schools, gifted high schools, schools for people with disabilities under the national education system; contributors and their children studying at vocational education institutions with more-than-one-year courses or higher education institutions belonging to the national education system.

Besides supporting school fees, the province has also developed student loan programs, which creates favorable conditions for students to be able to learn. Most students as contributor’s children have identified their motivation, attitudes towards learning, strived to study and practice, overcome difficulties in learning. It is worth mentioning that their academic achievement is always higher and higher. Most graduates have stable jobs such as: office workers for some foreign companies in industrial parks, accountants, bank employees, managers...

For example, Vuong Dang Phat, 4th-year student of Business Administration faculty, Binh Duong University, is a child of wounded soldier Vuong Dang Loc. His major is considered as a synthetic one with many difficult subjects, requires students to have a broad knowledge and be good not only in mathematical numbers but also in foreign languages ​​and scientific knowledge, social life. But Phat's academic achievements are admirable; he is a good student of the school, his GPA is above 8. Besides, Phat also actively participates in youth activities, always volunteer to help poor children, the elderly with disabilities.

Talking about his learning methods, Phat shared: "In class, I always listen to lectures, ask my lecturers and friends about what I did not understand, so you will understand and remember longer. Joining youth activities help me to be more confident and know more about society. Talking about his dream, Phat wanted to become a human resource manager, devote his youth to building a wealthy homeland.

Vuong Phuong Lan, daughter of Mr. Vuong Xuan Dong Phu Hoa ward, who is a contributor and is affected by toxic chemicals. Currently, Lan is attending second year of Legal English, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. With the dream of becoming a lawyer later, Lan has studied hard, her academic results are always higher and higher. In order to make her dream come true, Lan used preferential policy support for learning foreign languages so that later she could contribute to building more civilized and wealthy country.

Vocational training for children of policy beneficiaries

Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Hang, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said that in order to create favorable conditions for contributor’s children to attend school, preferential policies supporting students, tuition fee exemption for contributor’s children have been fully implemented. In particular, the province has also removed the distinction between public and private schools in considering subsidies for education and training. According to the current regulations, not only contributors but contributor’s relatives are also entitled to preferential regimes in education and training, especially children of contributors are receiving monthly allowance, tuition support and one-time allowance to help them have better learning conditions; At the same time, it also helps policy families with studying children to reduce some difficulties and contribute to limiting dropouts. Besides, in order to help contributor’s children have stable job, the province also integrates vocational training, encourages non-productive units and enterprises in the province to prioritize recruitment of war invalids, martyrs’ children.

Implementing the project "Vocational training for rural workers", localities in the province have reviewed subjects, who are children of fallen heroes, wounded, sick soldiers, policy families, want to register for study. This will be the basis for the province to develop vocational training programs for children of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and combine these programs with job creation, attach importance to career guidance and job introduction. Nguyen Xuan Vu, an industrial electrical worker in An Binh War (Di An Town), whose father is a 2/4 wounded soldier, said: "In 2016, I graduated from an intermediate industrial electrical course. Owing to the introduction of local government, I was admitted to ASTER Trading Engineering Company. I am very satisfied with my current job, with a monthly salary of about VND9 mln, I not only stabilize my life but am also able help my family. "
