The series of the “Family Festival” event with the theme of "Peaceful family - happy society" organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in collaboration with the departments and mass organizations of Binh Duong province took place in the provinceon on June 25 and 26, in response to Vietnam Family Day (June 28) and National Action Month on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control in 2022. The above activities have been spreading the role and meaning of the family to society; uphold the values of the family in order to create a premise for a healthy and sustainable society.
Family is the home of every person. It plays an important role in the formation and development of the personality of each person. Blood, affection and responsibility among family members are the factors that create cohesion. If the connection gets higher, the love and empathy among family members get more steadfast. However, due to the impact of many objective and subjective factors, family cohesion today is getting loose and the distance between parents and children is getting farther and farther, affecting the happiness of each family. That is the cause and is also the opportunity for social evils to enter the family, affecting the development of society.
Along with social evils and domestic violence on increase, the Covid-19 pandemic like a whirlwind in the past two years has also caused many families to separate or fall into difficult situations... Facing that situation, the Party, Government and local authorities at all levels have made efforts in strengthening, cultivating, preserving and promoting traditional family values through activities on the occasion of Vietnam Family Day. With the theme of "Peaceful family - happy society", this year's Vietnam Family Festival highlighted the core values of the family: health, joy and happiness. This is because if the family has peace, health and happiness, each individual can feel secure to devote and create good values to help the society develop.
The family is the cell of society. To have a happy society, the family must first be peaceful. A peaceful family requires each individual to regularly cultivate, preserve and promote the core values of the family. Building a peaceful family not only helps the society develop sustainably, but also contributes to preserving the fine traditional values of the nation, abolishing outdated customs and proactively preventing the intrusion of social evils into the family. Therefore, along with the efforts by each individual, Party committees, authorities at all levels and departments, socio-political organizations need to define family work as a regular task with an important position in the local socio-economic development policy. Upon this, they set up specific plans to effectively carry out family work; focus on communication and education to raise awareness of the whole society about the role and position of the family in order to "build a prosperous, progressive, happy and civilized family" under the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress.
