"This is a festival that is spectacular in terms of form and content, immersed in Japanese culture”. This was the common feeling of many people and tourists when coming to the 4th Japanese Festival 2019, which took place in Binh Duong New City.

After 3 times, together with its partners Becamex Tokyu Company and Becamex IDC, this year's festival was more elaborately prepared. With the theme "Cultural exchange between Vietnam - Japan and neighboring countries", the festival attracted the participation of thousands of Binh Duong people and foreigners, who are living, studying and working in the province. This year's festival has many culinary activities with 44 stalls of Vietnam, Japan, Korea and Taiwan. Besides many food stalls of famous Japanese brands such as Aeon, Yakult, FamilyMart, Sushi Bar, visitors also had an opportunity to enjoy many delicious dishes from stalls of famous restaurants in Binh Duong, such as: Huong Viet, Happy, NhaEm pancake, Alley Milk Tea, Korean BBQ...

At the main stage of the festival, there are many interesting and unique art performances from idol group Niji, performances of universities in Binh Duong. Especially in love with Doraemon, many children were able to take photos with Doraemon and their friends on stage, experienced many interesting games in Doraemon zone, writing Japanese calligraphy, drawing favorite cartoon characters on T-shirts ... Walking around the festival, many young persons wore traditional Japanese costume Yukata, took photos with colorful lanterns, beautiful cherry blossom posters... Pham Hai Quynh Duong (DinhHoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City) came to this festival with her parents, brothers, and children, said that it was the first time she took part in this festival, she was very happy that she had a very interesting place to entertain for her three-generation family at weekend. Next year, she would continue to take her family to this festival.

Hirata Shuji, Director of Business Division under Becamex Tokyu Company, said that in Binh Duong New City, there were many residents coming from abroad such as Japan, Korea... Therefore, they wished to organize a festival, in which all residents from different cultural regions of the city could join and exchange, and make Binh Duong New City be a cosmopolitan and harmonious city. At the same time, through culinary, entertainmentactivities, cultural experience, stage performances, they hoped to convey Japanese and Vietnamese culture to international friends and local people. In addition, it was to bring the image of Tokyu Group closer to Binh Duong residents.
