“Cultural hamlet, quarter take part in saving electricity in 2014” program launched

Early April 24, Thuan An town’s Electricity organized a ceremony to launch the “Cultural hamlet, quarter take part in saving electricity in 2014” program.

Representative of the town’s Electricity said that the town’s total output of electricity saved in 2013 was more than 51mln Kwh, a twofold increase compared to 2012. The town also saved nearly 9.9mln Kwh of electricity in the first three months of 2014.

Upholding results done, the town’s Electricity signed a program on saving electricity with five mass organizations, including Youth Union, Women’s Union, Veterans’ Society…, and the town’s Radio Station at the ceremony.

It is known that the objective of the program is to speed up dissemination of information about using energy in an economical and effective manner to wards, communes, households, production-trading facilities, State agencies…across the town, forming up typical examples of “Family with power saving”, “Hamlet-quarter with power saving”.
