Customers not to be discreet with 3G

Newness of 3G technology plus information on the technology’s victims make people become discreet with 3G. However, it is not worth receiving discreet glance.

At present, Vietnam is home to 4 big mobile phone networks of Vietel, Mobifone, Vinafone and Vietnamobile joining in 3G technology. Excepting Vietnamobile, the remaining 3 networks have been under a race to grab marketshare of 3G. Thanks to competition, customers have many profits.

 

Customers register to use 3G service.

Nguyen Anh Quy, a student of Binh Duong University is selecting to use the U1 package of Vinaphone’s 3G service. With the service package, Quy only pays VND12,000 per day in exchange of 5 laptops of his friends can enjoy internet comfortably.

Cheapness, convenience are advantages of 3G service compared to internet service. At present, Vietel has been launched D-com 3G service with attractive preferences for low incomers. Nguyen Thanh Nhuong, director of Vietel Binh Duong, said ‘Vietel has been in a 3G race with other mobile phone networks. However, we have eyed low incomers. We want to be popular 3G by wireless internet with high speed’. Presently, D-com 3G package is considered as convenient tool for many people.

Will 3G replace ADSL?

According to figures of the organizing board of Mobile Awards 2010, the number of ADSL subscribers in the province has amounted to 50,000 out of 1.5 million people. The whole country has had about 3 million ADSL subscribers. This is a modest figure. Meanwhile, 3G has affirmed its advantages and replaced ADSL gradually. Vietel Binh Duong has had 30,000 3G subscribers, over 50% of ADSL ones. This shows a great potential of 3G.

However, many people have a discreet view for 3G technology. Some customers have been waiting for more information on 3G, owing to problems of package fees.

The attraction of 3G is very huge. Binh Duong-based 3G has offered numerous advantages for mobile phone users. Therefore, customers should not have a discreet view with 3G technology.
