D warzone brilliantly developed

The formerly stronghold D warzone once notably for resistance wars has become an attractive location for domestic and foreign investors. Poverty is no longer in place. Local people is reaching for prosperity and non-stop development.

Changes on daily basis

We returned to the former warzone of fierce battles and where revolutionary forces were covert. The warzone of heroism has been evaluated by Mr. Le Duan, the former first secretary of Executive Board of Communist Party of Vietnam, that ther Dong Nam Bo forest region and Zone VI for Saigon and the Mekong Delta held the similar positions as Viet Bac for Ha Noi and the plain of the North Region in the resistance war against the French colony.

D warzone was considered as a strategic location for the resistance war and the cradle of armed forces in the region including Battalion No. 800, Regiment No. 762, Division No. 9, and Division No. 5. The name of D warzone was attached to glorious victory of the resistance war by the locals, namely the victory of Lac An, Tan Uyen, Phuoc Thanh, Dat Cuoc, Dong Xoai, and Phuoc Long.

Politically, D warzone was like a epic song of revolutionary movements throughout the two resistance wars. It became the firm symbol of unity, power, and hope for officers, soldiers and locals through the long days of hardship.

We were emotional to recall, at the today location of the former warzone, the verse of the General and Poet, Huynh Van Nghe naming the land of never backing down spirit.

The former warzone and home to Huynh Van Nghe is now much different. The appearance of a modern and civilized urban area is present. South Tan Uyen Industrial Park with synchronous and modern investments is charming to investors seeking for business and development on the land destroyed by bombs and weapons in the old time.

Outstanding development

The newly established Tan Uyen Town eyed breakthroughs in changing the urban appearance and public life care. Up to date, the town has two industrial parks and 3 industrial clusters covering 1,900 hectares with synchronous and basic facilities ready for investors. Currently, up 440 domestic enterprises and 303 foreign investment projects are operating mainly in South Tan Uyen Industrial Park and internal areas of Tan Uyen Town.

From the deserted and war destroyed locality, Tan Uyen Town is beautified by industrialization and modernization. The strong power and potentials are expressive by the 12% of industrial growth. Up to date, economic structure of the town has been diverted to industry with income per capita up to VND 45 million a year. Tan Uyen Town is changing day by day.

Leaving Tan Uyen Town, we arrived at North Tan District to visit Dat Cuoc – the locality of great battle merit by locals of D warzone through the two resistance wars against the French Colony and US Army. North Tan Uyen District now includes both agriculture and industry in its economy as 4 industrial parks and clusters covering 828.79 hectares are being completed.

North Tan Uyen District is the capital of specialized vesicle fruits. Up to date, high quality oranges and pamelos have offered locals great benefits. Although industrial, commercial, and service development has been slower, North Tan Uyen District holds great potentials. Concentrated and sustainable oriented development of industry and services has been successfully made as the district is aiming for action plan of local Party committee from 2014 to 2015.

The district is also planning for 11-13% of growth for the next years to gain the industrialization status.
