On the morning of August 8, Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee received Rene Piil Perdesen, Chairman in charge of foreign affairs and public policy in Asia - Pacific region of A.P. Moller Maersk Group from Denmark coming to greet and learn about the investment environment.
At the meeting, Nguyen Van Danh emphasized that Binh Duong is diversifying to attract foreign investment from potential markets and partners with focus on transnational corporations holding advanced technologies and modern management. Therefore, the province always strengthens investment and trade promotion and wishes to cooperate with reputable businesses and corporations, responsible to society, the community and the province's suitable and long-term development strategy.
Rene Piil Perdesen said that A.P. Moller Maersk Group is currently using 5 warehouse clusters on a total area of about 151,000 square meters in strategic logistics areas of the province. Warehouse clusters use energy-saving lights, electrical equipment in warehouse operations, and initiatives to save water and paper.
The Group is working to minimize its environmental impact by switching to clean, green fuel in its port operations and logistics network, including the use of heavy-duty electric trucks. The Group is committed to investing more strongly not only in facilities and transportation but also in equipment to improve the level of human resources.
A.P Moller Maersk also wants to learn more about the industrial ecosystem and the upcoming development orientation of Binh Duong province to prepare for a new investment plan in warehouses and large-scale logistics centers serving the long-term operations in Binh Duong.
