"Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui" festive day for young people

To track back the glorious tradition of the country, the provincial Youth Center and Thu Dau Mot town Youth Union jointly held the "Dat Nuoc Tron Niem Vui" festive day (The Nation's Joy Is Complete), luring plenty of local teachers, pupils, youths and unionists.

The festive day’s program included painting contest themed the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign with the participation of 66 pupils from 22 schools. Nguyen Phan Thu Quynh, an 8th grader said she was very happy as joining in the festive day and proud of the country’s tradition.

Besides, the festive day consisted of operation contest with the attendance of tens of people. Many participating units reappeared images of troops with tanks and weapons made by paper.

Images of flags, home-made weapons made youths and viewers remember about the glorious years of the country. Ending the festive day was a monumental art performance and award ceremony.

As a result, in the painting contest, Phu Hoa junior secondary school won the first prize, followed by Nguyen Thi Minh Khai junior secondary school. Meanwhile, in  the parade contest, the 3rd compound including Dinh Hoa, Tan An, Tuong Binh Hiep, Hiep An and Hoa Phu wards and communes grabbed the first prize, followed by the 2nd compound including communes and wards of Phu Tan, Phu Loi, Phu Hoa, Hiep Thanh and Phu My.

Dang Xuan Van, vice director of the provincial Youth Center, said ‘through the festive day, we want to educate young generation about the national pride and help them become useful people’.
