Dau Tieng deals with “black” spots on traffic accidents

On the afternoon of March 3, Dau Tieng district’s Traffic Safety Committee held a conference to summarize the task of ensuring traffic safety in 2022; implement orientations and tasks for 2023.

According to the district’s Traffic Safety Committee in 2022, there were 29 traffic accidents reported in the district, killing 23 people, injuring 19 others and damaging 57 vehicles. Compared to 2021, the number of cases decreased by 12.12% while the number of injured people decreased by 45.7%. Over the past year, the district’s investment, construction and development of traffic infrastructure and management and exploitation continued receiving attention, especially in making traffic organization, infrastructure maintenance and repair, focusing on handling black spots on traffic accidents. At the conference, the district’s Traffic Safety Committee implemented a plan on the 2023 Traffic Safety Year, under the theme of "Obeying the law to build safe traffic culture”, with 3 objectives, including raising awareness of law enforcement and building safe traffic culture; further reducing traffic accidents by 5%-10% in terms of the number of cases, the number of deaths and the number of injuries...

On this occasion, 15 collectives and 29 individuals were awarded the certificates of merit for their outstanding achievements in ensuring traffic safety in 2022.
